For simple maintenance, we recommend adding a small amount of cooking oil to the underside of the valve body lugs and sealing ring after extended use, to help protect the ring and ensure its continued effective operation.

To install the 09985 Sealing Ring, first remove the old ring and overpressure plug, then thoroughly clean the sealing ring groove and overpressure plug hole. Next, work the new sealing ring into the cover a small section at a time until it is fully in place. For the overpressure plug, push the round side of the rubber plug (marked "TOP") into the opening from the underside of the cover. Finally, open and close the cover several times to ensure it operates more freely.
